So today I finished the Carolina Panthers-Inspired Mittens for my 3 year old son. I actually used yarn from Connie (from our trunk dive last month) for the turquoise trim (she had leftover yarn in the same yarn I had bought for this project, yippee). The pattern is Bold-Banded Mittens by Zoe Mellor from Adorable Knits. Next up on the needles: the Football Hat from Itty Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson, in the same colors.
And last night my family and I loaded into our car with some hot chocolate to see the Christmas lights in McAdenville, if you haven't been there to see this holiday display, try to make it, it's a great holiday tradition to add to the holiday season.

Glad the extra yarn worked out for the mitts. They look great!
Ohh I haven't been to McAdenville to see the lights in some time, but I am so use to the huge displays back at home in WI. Now those are some lights!
Your pic just put me in the mood!
Happy Holidays!!
Those mittens look great and I know he'll love em'! I love that term "trunk dive" Ha! As long as my hubbie is a Michaels manager I am sure there will be many more of those for you ladies!
I have been to see the lights of McAdenville twice with my children, but many years ago. It is a beautiful place and you've given your son a grand Christmas memory!
