Spring Shawl KCAL

We had our photo shoot for the Spring KCAL this last Saturday!

And we had a lovely afternoon of knitting and socializing! (We also saw some much-missed faces! :-) ) A couple of us also de-stashed a bit (notice the mob around the de-stash table??) hehe!

A lovely afternoon was had by all! (And yours truly was kicking herself for forgetting her shawl!!)

Fall KAL - Baby Surprise Jackets

Well, only three of our sweaters were present for the photo shoot. :-)
Here they are:

Rose, Connie and Heather's jackets.

Several other Purls finished their jackets: Doreen, Janet, and I know there were a few more - who else am I missing?
Stacey is still in the middle of hers. hehe! ;-P

I can only speak for myself, but even though this was not necessarily a pleasant knit for me, I did learn a few things, so that's something good, right?

Hemlock in Progress

I won't make it to the field trip this weekend - Colin and I are celebrating 13 years! And we get a couple of days with no kids - so we are skipping town.

For those of you who are thinking about the Hemlock - join in!! It's not that hard and now is the time with so many who can join you over the next two months. I'm having a lot of fun with it and have already decided while a Huge Granny Square is my favorite baby blanket of last resort, this will be my baby present when I have a bit more time to plan. I would have loved one of these for my 1st born.

These pictures show where I am now, but the color is washed out.

This is a picture from last week - but the color is accurate:

For those of you who tempated me to Cast on for Pi Day:

I so didn't need another WIP to suck me in. But this is so addictive! Thanks a bunch!

3 down, 1 to go

I finished my KAL clogs, and have even started on the pair the man requested.

No, really - see?

Pre felting, I thought mine were big - but they sized down perfectly!

All thoughts of mine being big went out the window when I finished his 1st clog!
This thing is HUGE! 15 inches long!!

I got a tiny bit sidetracked between Trinity's recent mobility issues and a fun Hat for Alex, but plan to return to the 2nd clog tonight after work.

Big Foot!

I must admit, when I started working on these felted clogs I was alittle bit frustrated. I had to rip the sole out 3 times!! After some consultation with Stacey and Wendy, I finally got off on the right foot....and a BIG one I might add! My first felted clog is complete and I hope to finish the second this weekend! If you haven't cast-on yet....What are you waiting for?! See you all soon!

Excuse the ashy legs...LOL!

Half way there

No one faint or anything, but I am not only participating in a KAL, I am 1/2 done!

I started these yesterday, and between putting them down to join my fellow Purls at Bear Rock yesterday afternoon, and celebrating my honey's birthday, I didn't think I would get too far - I was wrong!

I seamed up the bottom sole of the 1st clog this morning, and will be casting the second one on shortly. I want to hurry up and finish these because the man who requests NO knitting ever has requested a pair of these in black and yellow. (Lemon Drop Lambs Pride no less - I offered the harvest gold shown in the pic but he said it "wasn't bright enough"! Hey, I'm just glad he actually asked me to knit him something!!)

These are being made in Deep Olive and Natural Mix Paton's Classic Merino (Probably wouldn't have been my 1st choice, but I had enough of each color in my stash, making this a stash busting project as well! And honestly, I have seen a few pics of this combo on Ravelry and it turns out rather nice I think)

After I get it posted on my blog, I'm off to cast on for the second!
